Your Achievement
Do you follow your passion? And do you refuse to give up when things get hard? Knowing my students, I am sure you are. This blog will focus on the power of passion and perseverance, and you will learn how to be “grittier”. But more importantly, you will have a chance to think about how you can use your personal superpowers in your daily life to experience greater study and life satisfaction, more fulfilling engagement, and more meaningful study experience. You say that you don’t have any superpowers? Trust me. You do. And the science of positive psychology will help you to recognize them, to cultivate them and to apply them in your everyday life. Are you ready to share your superpowers with the world?
Are you ready to explore achievement as a significant contributor to your overall well-being? We all have a diverse perspective on what success is. For some of us success might be finished and accepted essay. For others it might be actually the opposite. Prioritizing our need to relax and finding time in our schedule to “do nothing”. But what we all have in common is that we create a vision, set a goal, and try to accomplish it. But achievement is not limited to long-term goals. Achievement can also be found in everyday life accomplishments. E.g. making yourself a healthy meal. Making a room for a quick phone call to talk to your loved one. Fixing a broken tab at home or simply making time to stretch your body first thing in the morning.
I would like us to talk about your passion and perseverance as essential qualities helping us to succeed in what we set our mind into.
Let’s look at the relationship between talent, effort, skill, and achievement. Angela Duckworth introduced the concept of achievement, emphasizing that success is subjective, varying among individuals. But Gritty people follow their passions, and they persevere in fulfilling them. What are you passionate about?
Let me also highlight the significance of both long-term goals and everyday accomplishments in building a sense of achievement. But only when we learn to break long-term goals into smaller, realistic steps, we can not only reduce our pressure and anxiety significantly, but we also increase our chance to sustain with our plans.
